The best birthday routes and timings

Every charter leaves from Dubai Marina Walk, where parking and a private waiting lounge make arrivals easy for a large group.

1. 1Golden-hour Marina loop (2 hours) — the marina channel and JBR beachfront timed so the cake comes out exactly at sunset. Our most-booked birthday slot.
2. 2Ain Dubai and Bluewaters (3 hours) — a swim and water-toy stop, then the observation wheel lighting up. The favourite for kids' and teen birthdays.
3. 3Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis (4 hours) — Atlantis The Royal, the crescent and the Burj Al Arab in the distance for milestone birthdays that deserve the long version.

Sunset slots between 17:00 and 20:00 are booked out first, usually one to two weeks ahead on weekends. Between November and March, midday birthdays with swimming are superb; in peak summer, plan an evening slot.

Planning timeline

• 3–4 weeks out — pick the yacht and date, especially for weekend sunsets
• 10 days out — confirm the guest count so we can finalise catering and seating
• 5 days out — lock the cake design, decoration theme and any photographer
• 48 hours out — final headcount, dietary requirements and the surprise plan
• On the day — arrive 10 minutes early; the decor is already installed when you board
