Yacht Party in Dubai: How to Plan a Night on the Water Your Guests Will Talk About
Everything you need to plan a yacht party in Dubai: which boat fits your group, real costs per hour and per guest, the best route and time, music, food, rules and a simple planning checklist.

Boat pricing and optional extras: Only soft drinks are included in the quoted boat price. Decoration, cake service, catering, bar packages, chefs, entertainment, photography/video, kids' activity packages, water activities and surprise arrangements are optional extras at an additional charge, subject to availability. Do not assume captain, crew, fuel, water, ice, towels or other services are included; request a complete itemised written quote before booking.
A rooftop bar gives you one view of the Dubai skyline. A yacht party gives you all of it — the Marina towers lit up behind you, Ain Dubai turning slowly off the bow and Atlantis glowing across the water — with nobody on board except the people you invited.
We plan these parties every week from Dubai Marina. This guide is what we tell every host who calls us: how big a boat you actually need, what it really costs, how to run the evening, and the handful of rules that catch people out.
Why throw your party on a yacht in Dubai?
- It's private. No queue, no strangers, no minimum spend at the bar. The deck is yours.
- The venue moves. Your backdrop changes every twenty minutes, which keeps the energy up in a way a fixed room can't.
- It photographs beautifully. Golden hour on the water and the lit skyline after dark are two of the best-looking settings in the city.
- It's easier to organise than it sounds. Choose your boat and request a complete itemised quote. Only soft drinks are included in the quoted boat price; optional party services are charged separately.
It works for almost any occasion — a birthday on a yacht, a bachelor or bachelorette night, an office celebration, a family reunion or simply a Friday with friends.
Choosing the right yacht for your group
The number one mistake is booking by headline capacity. A boat licensed for 25 feels crowded with 25 dancing people. For a party, aim for about 70–80% of the licensed number.
| Yacht | Length | Comfortable party size | Price per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prestige 35 | 35 ft | up to 8 guests | AED 550 |
| Pearl 48 | 48 ft | 8–12 guests | AED 650 |
| Ammos 50 | 50 ft | 12–20 guests | AED 750 |
| Onyx 90 | 90 ft | 20–30 guests | AED 1,100 |
| Bella Vita 66 | 66 ft | 15–25 guests | AED 800 |
| Crown 90 | 90 ft | 40–50 guests | AED 1,800 |
A few rules of thumb from experience:
- Under 12 guests: Pearl 48. Intimate, relaxed, plenty of lounging space.
- 15–25 guests: Ammos 50 or Onyx 90. This is the sweet spot for most birthday and friends' parties — room to dance on the aft deck and a quieter flybridge for conversations.
- 30+ guests or a DJ setup: Bella Vita 66 or larger. You'll want two separate decks so the music doesn't drown everyone out.
You can compare every boat, with photos and layouts, on our yacht fleet page. If you're unsure, our guide on how to choose the right yacht walks through deck space, shade and cabins in more detail.
What a yacht party in Dubai really costs
Only soft drinks are included in the quoted boat price. All optional services are charged separately. Most parties run for three hours, which is long enough to cruise the full route and still have time to settle in.
Worked example — 20 guests, 3 hours on the Onyx 90:
- Yacht: 3 × AED 1,100 = AED 3,300
- Balloon and table décor: AED 450
- Catering (canapés and grazing table, ~AED 120 per person): AED 2,400
- Total: about AED 6,150, or roughly AED 310 per guest
That's comparable to a dinner-and-drinks night out in the Marina — except you get a private venue with a moving view. For smaller groups the maths is even kinder: 10 friends on the Pearl 48 for 3 hours comes to AED 1,950 for the boat, under AED 200 each.
On Fridays and Saturdays most boats have a 3-hour minimum, and evening slots book up one to two weeks ahead, longer in the cooler months. If you want a deeper breakdown by boat and group size, see our yacht rental cost per person guide, and read what's hidden in some yacht quotes before you compare prices elsewhere.

The best time to start your party
- Late afternoon (4–7pm): Best for photos. Board about an hour before sunset and you'll hit golden hour off Palm Jumeirah. Our sunset cruise guide lists sunset times month by month.
- Evening (7–10pm): The classic party slot. Sunset on the way out, the skyline lit up on the way back. This is our most requested booking.
- Late night (10pm onwards): Quieter water, full city lights, more of a lounge feel. Great for bachelor nights and after-dinner celebrations.
The best months are October to April, when evenings are warm but comfortable. Summer parties still work well — just pick a later start and a boat with an air-conditioned salon.
The route: what your guests will see
A three-hour party typically follows the same loop we use on our Dubai Marina yacht tour:
- 1Dubai Marina canal — cruise out slowly past the towers while guests settle in and the first drinks go round.
- 2Bluewaters and Ain Dubai — the world's largest observation wheel, spectacular when it's lit at night.
- 3Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis — the captain can anchor here for 30–45 minutes. This is when the music goes up and the cake comes out.
- 4Return along JBR — the beachfront glowing on your right as you head back into the Marina.

Music, food and drinks
Music. Every yacht has a Bluetooth sound system — just bring a phone with your playlist. For bigger groups, a DJ with their own equipment costs roughly AED 1,200–2,500 for the evening.
Food. You can bring your own food, or we can arrange catering. Canapés and a grazing table start around AED 120 per person, and a BBQ on board is a popular option for daytime parties.
Drinks. You're welcome to bring your own drinks, including alcohol, on a private charter; confirm availability and any additional charges for ice, glasses, coolers, towels or serving assistance before booking. Guests must be of legal drinking age, and the crew can ask anyone behaving unsafely to stop.
Décor. Balloon arches, banners, flowers and table styling start from about AED 450 and are set up before you board, so the deck looks ready when your guests arrive.
Rules worth knowing before you book
- Guest numbers are enforced. The coast guard checks passenger lists, and the captain can't sail over the licensed capacity.
- Bring ID. Every guest needs a passport or Emirates ID on the day. See our booking guide for the full list.
- No glass on the swim platform, no fireworks, no confetti cannons. Loose confetti is a real pain on teak decks and in the sea.
- Swimming is at the captain's discretion during daylight anchor stops only.
- Weather decides. If wind or waves make it unsafe, we'll reschedule for free.
A simple planning checklist
- 3–4 weeks before: confirm guest numbers and book the boat and time slot.
- 2 weeks before: choose catering, décor and any DJ or photographer.
- 1 week before: send guests the meeting point, dress code and ID reminder.
- On the day: arrive 15 minutes early, bring the cake and playlist, and let the crew handle the rest.
